I should've posted this ages ago, but... SplitRock Hold is in need of some senior Hold staff. They can be NPCs or full-on personae... the latter would certainly be more fun for shared plotting, though. - Hold Steward: Organized and efficient, keeps track of the records and oversees the Headwoman and Dockmaster. Probably someone who rose through the ranks in the Hold staff alongside Saxon, and likes to see the Hold active but orderly. - Headwoman: Runs the kitchens and manages the internal maintenance of the Hold. Not really involved in politics. - Dockmaster: In charge of the Hold's shipping and stores, both by sea and (when applicable) overland. Works closely with the Headwoman to make sure that the Hold storerooms are properly stocked. Not a bad sort, but will "look the other way" when told to do so by the Lord Holder. - Captain of the Guard: Experienced guard, ideally PCH-trained, reports directly to Lord Saxon... someone who's been at SplitRock for a while now. Not a heroic type, but an outright villain... I'm thinking "lawful neutral" might be a good suggestion here. Loyal to the Hold and appreciative of Lord Saxon's desire for order.

I'll do your headwoman...and maybe even the dockmaster. Any specific requests or requirements beyond what you've already listed?

I have a fellow who could be your captain of the guard. It'd be nice to get to play him. He'll be an NPC, though.
You want him to be villainous? Hm. I can manage that, though I'm curious as to how you envision lawful neutral, given that.

Anna - No other requirements... except that the headwoman should probably not be blessed with an overabundance of curiosity. Chantal - He doesn't have to be villainous himself, but by "lawful neutral" I mean focused more on keeping things under control, no matter what it takes. So someone who delights in cruelty for its own sake wouldn't work, but someone that can justify nastiness for the greater good of the Hold would be perfect. (BTW, I see your confusion... I dropped a word in the original post, it was supposed to read "Not a heroic type, but not an outright villain..." Sorry about that!)

Thom--In that case, I can definitely write a Captain of the Guard for you.

Thom--In that case, I can definitely write a Captain of the Guard for you. YAY! I purposely left the actual Captain out of my story for 27/2, "Convergence", because I didn't want to take away from you. (and the story worked just as well with a lower-ranked guard... you'll see that some of the guards are "in on it" while others aren't, presumably based on your captain's opinion on who can be relied upon)

Thom--Excellent! Looking forward to reading your story so I can get a better idea of the background when I do his sheet. I'll name him Ildaran.
