I know that Z'rat isn't exactly approved yet...but I've been working on his first story, which covers why he's such a bastard, why he left Telgar and his actual leaving/arrival at StarRise.
I may have even illustrated it...sort of. Not sure yet on that, I'd have to see how it comes out after I scan it and clean it up.
Anyways, I know people have NPC's and such at Telgar, if anyone wants to plot with me...and if Z'rat gets fully approved naturally...

You don't have to wait for full approval before writing, or submitting, a story. Well, if it's a ranking character, you do, but Z'rat isn't. so write away! And I have characters at Telgar. I'll write with you! I've got Weyrwoman Second Tirlen (she's very friendly), Wingleader K'rel, and Headwoman Lauria ( she is very managing!)

Well the first part is Z'rat's public confronttion with I'len, mostly. The second is currently slated as the Weyrleader and Z'rat's Wingleader convincing him he wants to transfer...original version features Z'rat drunk but that's changeable, the third is Z'rat's exit from Telgar, including a confrontation with his Wingleader. The fourth is his arrival at StarRise.
I have an idea for the fifth, but there's a whole list of things to get through to pull it off. Short version, a greenrider flirt hits on him and won't back down, Z'rat loses it and punches the guy and walks away is confronted by someone, current musing is another greenrider, and/or someone with rank, confronting him to which Z'rat responds with "I shouldn't have to say No more than once" before walking away, again to try to calm down. He gets lost and winds up at that barracde, which is when he admits to Olenth that he's lost, and Olenth gets someone to come after him. This is another oppertunity for a greenrider, or a woman, to have an encounter with him.
This also gives an opening for a 'punishment' story, which would set the tone for Z'rat's current position in the Weyr.
I have more ideas than sense sometimes...and a job that requires very little thought. Especially since I can't yell at the idiots and debate the opinionated ones.

Hm. We can work with this. I can offer K'rel up for the Telgar Wingleader position. What kind of confrontation were you wanting between them? As for the greenrider flirt...Heh. F'lerin comes to mind. We'll poke at Kris and see if she has time for some plotting. I can also provide the persona of rank and woman encounter. And they could even be the same person. So yeah - quite doable here! and a perfect fit to the next issue's theme!

The sketch for the one where it's just Z'rat and the Wingleader was the day Z'rat was leaving, the Wingleader just wanted to make sure there weren't any hard feelings. I'len is brought up and Z'rat flips, massively. But he leaves before e can get into any more trouble.
The one with the Weyrleader, the Wingleader and Z'rat, well, the purpose is to "kindly suggest" Z'rat consider a transfer, and Z'rat might (or might not) be drunk, but I haven't a clue what else.
And to be honest F'lerin was the inspiration for that part of the story. I was reading one of the back issues you hve listed for download and read a story about him and was like Z'rat would hate him, they should meet!

Heh...F'lerin is always useful for being a flirty greenrider. (g) I don't have any characters at Telgar, unfortunately, but if you're ever at Theran or Fort, give me a ring.

I would offer up the greenrider I'm concocting, J'hart (is that name already used somewhere? It seems like it should be....) to be Z'rat's punching victim, but while he's an outrageous flirt, he also wouldn't persist past the first "No" response.

F'lerin would definitely be up for it. It's just too bad his friends will offer sympathy but no defense, just, "F'lerin, we've warned you for turns that someone was going to hit you in the teeth if you kept on . . ." I shouldn't mistreat F'lerin like this, but he's so useful.

I know, I like to torment my characters too. I have all these plans for Z'rat, trouble he's bound to get into...
