When I first started in StarRise, back when I was just 16, I was assigned a buddy. Someone I could go to and ask questions, who'd point out the ways and means of getting along at StarRise. That buddy was W. David McKenzie. Now...that buddy system didn't last long. And I don't think David was in StarRise much time past that point. So I never really got to know him. It was more difficult back then - household computers and the internet were still relatively new things. StarRise's online presence was mostly on GEnie (how many people know what GEnie is?) and I didn't have access to GEnie when I was 16. I did when I was 17, until my folks got the first phone bill. Oops. Does anyone else remember David? Have any stories about him?

I happened to run into David a few times online. I know he's living in Seattle as of last year. He and his brother were putting together family-style board games (clevermojogames.com). I haven't seen him on FaceBook.

Hey, next time you run into him, can you dangle StarRise in front of him? And I checked out the website. Those games look fun! I wonder if the niece and nephew would be interested....? Monopoly gets so old.
