Hi Folks,
Just a brief catch up of where I've been (since I haven't been on the board). I've been home (in the US) for the last 2 weeks, taking care of tax-related stuff, ID stuff and in general visiting and realizing exactly how much I've missed home!
I spent my birthday there but unfortunately it wasn't the kind of birthday I want to have ever again...I had friends who were holding a box of some of my things for me (keepsakes, old family photos etc) and when I went to pick them up I found out they'd been wrecked by damp & wet and I have to admit I cried. Some of the only photos I had of either of my parents were in there and well, I was gutted about that, and maybe more gutted because friends I had trusted with it hadn't been trustworthy.
Then when I get home my husband called me to tell me that Pudgy, my cat (the diabetic 19 year old) had finally gotten the results from the vet and she has oral cancer and about 1-3 months to live. I now need to find a vet willing to euthanize her here in our home or out of the office as I want her to be as un-anxious as possible before hand and she alwyas gets worked up at the vets).
No. Not the best birthday.
Anyway, I've gotten home, our house looks like it exploded (Mark is trying to get his stuff sorted and we're repainting the interior so it'll look good for the market). Which is goooooood since I really want us to get home asap.
The good thing about being back is I should have more time to get some writing done for SRW.
