Does anyone have any Pernese proverbs, from the books, fandom, or personal? I'd like to start a collection, if we could. Ones I've heard or used: Speak of Thread, and it will burrow. Greens' eggs and wishes will bring you no riches. If you bring together a harper, a merchant, and a wine-seller, there will be a Gather even if the sea has to part to make a dance floor.

If we expand it to jokes--what's the difference between bronzeriders, itchweed, and tunnelsnakes? Itchweed can be avoided, and you can reason with a tunnel snake.

If we're going to pick on bronzeriders...
Q. How are bronzeriders, red thorn needles, and sticker burrs alike?
A. They can really get under your skin.

Or -
Q. Why do bronzeriders ride the biggest male dragons?
A. Because they need a dragon that's big enough to carry both them *and* their egos.

A couple more:
Don't count your wherries 'til they hatch.
Not the brightest glow in the basket.
Watch your marks, or you'll become one.
