IGEN WEYR PERSONA SHEET
Date created: February 20, 2000

Personal Information
Name: Andrea Irving
Email Address: Hutchison.andrea@gmail.com
PERSONA INFORMATION
Name: D'gon
Position: wingleader of Stardust wing, Igen Weyr
Gender: male
Age/Birthdate: 31 turns old in turn 33, 02.01.17
Birthplace: Telgar Weyr
Family/Significant Others: mother, Rilla/greenrider/deceased/Telgar Weyr
Father, D'kel/bluerider/deceased/Telgar Weyr
several half siblings by his father (all at Telgar Weyr)
friend, Tarina
Physical Description: D'gon has above average looks, but he's not what you'd call devastatingly gorgeous like some people. He has a tendency to wear black, as it matches his mood most times. His hair is short and dark brown and kind of spiky on top. D'gon's eyes are brown. He is 6'1" and 195lbs. His body model is David Boreanaz from "Angel."
Background and Timeline: Dagon was born to greenrider and bluerider parents at Telgar Weyr. His mother had no children after he was born, as she did not like even the minimal hassle of being a parent at the Weyr. His father D'kel took a bit of interest, since he had other children, so the boy wasn't too neglected (especially with his Foster parents). His father's blue Searched him at the age of fourteen, and D'gon Impressed bronze Binallath just over a turn later.
Soon after graduation, D'gon's mother, Rilla, died in a bad 'Fall. It hurt because she was his mother, but only for that reason. The two had never been close, though she was proud of his Impressing a bronze. Because Binallath was so small (barely larger than most browns), he was constantly checked over by the dragonhealers at Telgar. When he was almost three turns old, they were finally satisfied that he would grow no larger and stopped pestering the pair. Two turns later, D'kel died in a bad Fall, and D'gon was devastated. His half siblings were supportive, for they loved their father, too. But none were hit so hard as D'gon.
About a turn after his father's death, Binallath decided to try for his first gold. He had successfully caught many greens up to that point, and was confident like most bronzes at the start of the flight (it was his first gold chase because D'gon inhibited him so much because of his size). The bronze failed miserably, lasting only for about half the flight. Binallath was known as Greenchaser from then on. It was a long time before he chased after a gold again.
Near the end of turn 22, D'gon discovered that he was in the running for a wingsecond position... again. Like usual, he tried to be the bronzerider he thought was wanted. Like usual, he was passed over for the job. He decided it was time to get out of Telgar and start over somewhere new, so he started checking out other Weyrs.
It was during his first visit to Igen that gold Ardenyeth happened to rise. Binallath chased after her, much to the newcomer's chagrin, and made his usual poor showing. He stayed by himself that night, and did manage to face P'gein the following day. Whatever was said between them is unknown, but D'gon did decide to come to Igen. P'gein surprised him by making him wingsecond of Flamebolt Wing, based on K'marik's recommendation (the two had flown together at Telgar). He's trying his best to fit in at Igen and in his new position as a wingsecond.
When goldrider Lawryna died, D'gon was thrown into the mix with Tarina, then a journeyman beasthealer. The two hated each other on sight and were angry at having to be together so often. He was suckered into taking her to StarRise to Stand for the gold egg there and really insulted her. When Tarina Impressed gold Lhyrith, he went to StarRise and apologized. They soon developed a mutual respect and since then have become really good friends. When she was finally fed up with a lecherous harper's harassment, she asked him to transfer to Sable for her. He agreed because he didn't have any real ties to Igen.
While at Igen, their friendship held stead until Binallath flew Tarina’s gold Lhyrith in turn 30. Tarina and D’gon were both uncomfortable about it, but he was willing to dismiss it and move on. Tarina blamed D’gon and accused him of encouraging Binallath to chase Lhyrith. They fought and rarely spoke thereafter, which was unfortunate because as a result of the mating flight, Tarina was pregnant with D’gon’s child. This was unbeknownst to D’gon, and when he found out about her pregnancy, he confronted her about the child’s parentage. She denied his being the father and he dropped it, pretending not to care.
In turn 33, he was given the opportunity to transfer into his old home, Igen Weyr, directly as a wingleader and he jumped at the chance. He wanted to get out of an uncomfortable situation. And he left as soon as the transfer was arranged.

21.10.18 D'kel dies in a bad 'Fall
22.09.09 Binallath's nickname becomes official-- Greenchaser-- as he is too small to stay in the running for golds
23.12.27 D'gon is passed up for wingsecond again, and decides to transfer

31.02.03 Dagrin is born to Tarina (and an unknowing D’gon)
33.02.15 D’gon transfers to Igen Weyr
Personality: D'gon is very quiet for a bronzerider, and a pretty decent guy overall. He did not get along with his parents--both riders at Telgar killed in different 'Falls. He often thinks of them--first a happy memory, then a sad reflection. He has a bit of a complex. He never thinks he's good enough, so he goes out of his way to prove that wrong. It gets him into trouble often. He's self-conscious about Binallath's size and rarely participates in any activity that might make the wingleaders or Weyrleader notice him (although, like most bronzeriders, he'd make a good leader--if only he were confident!). He's well built, smart, and tries to do his best so that no one will notice Binallath's small stature. Despite the lack of confidence, the two do make a good pair. D'gon can also be fiercely protective, and is unlike your average weyrbred bronzerider in that he isn't a womanizer. D'gon is a quiet guy who spends a lot of time alone (although he does like to have fun, and usually has several close acquaintances). He likes to read, and enjoyed stealing a glance at his mother while she was painting as a child. D'gon enjoys a good party, and is semi-popular despite his confidence problem (it's with Nall's size, not himself). He's a nice guy, so it's hard not to have friends.
Pets: A blue firelizard named PITA, which stands for Pain In The Ass. He was a Turnover gift from Zahlenka and D’gon isn’t quite sure what to do with the little guy. PITA is very affectionate and loving, and he’s very close to his clutchmates. He enjoys stealing food off people’s plates in the dining cavern and other annoying things other flitters like to do.
DRAGONRIDERS
Name and Color: bronze Binallath (Nall)
Physical Description: Undersized (112' length, 192' wingspan). He's a perfect coppery bronze all over his body. No thread scores to speak of (a few minor ones, but nothing that stands out). His head has somewhat angular features, but the rest of him does not.
Age: 15
Where/When Impressed: Telgar Weyr, 17.04.21 (Sire/Dam: /Fannath #28)
Wing: Stardust Wing
Skills/Abilities: Nothing special
Personality: Despite D'gon's constant worries, Binallath is a surprisingly stable dragon. He's very social and usually the greens adore him since he pays them so much attention. He is also a lot more ambitious than his rider. He will go above and beyond what he should in a Fall, and it gets him into trouble (most recently, he badly wrenched his shoulder). Nall also has a decent memory and will remember rider's names a little better than the average dragon.
