Things are not good for me at the moment. I may be a bit absent for the next week or two while I make things good again. I don't plan to be absent, of course, but I can't guarantee that I won't be. Do not worry, though - the zine is right on target and will be published by the promised publication date.

Anna--Do whatever you need to do. Real life comes first, and we're not going anywhere.

Okay, current, immediately difficulty in life has now been (mostly) resolved. Basically: my car got repo'ed unexpectedly. I now have another car. It's not as pretty, but once the AC is working and it's been detailed, and I get a couple of new tires on it, it should be just as comfy and reliable as my Concorde was. I can't help but feel like I'm being punished for trying to help my brother be an adult... I'm ready for the 'rough' part of this move to Louisiana to be over! And I want to take a moment to say: Thank God for friends. Over the past two weeks, I've gotten more practical help, advice, moral and emotional support from my friends - online and off! - than I have from my own family. ::shaking head::

Just remember, Anna...real family isn't about blood. It's about the people who love and accept you as you are. So if you have found family in unexpected places...consider it a gift from the Universe. Glad things are better!

I still think it was really lame of them to take your car when you could have paid it off entirely in ten days, but...*sigh* At least you have a reliable one that works, and you didn't have to pay a horrid lot for it, so there's something to say for that.
I am so glad things are looking up. I was afraid something worse might be going on, and I had no idea what it could be.

Believe me, Chantal - it felt - and feels! - much worse than the bare facts suggest. The emotional toll of the past nine months darn near made this the straw that broke me. It didn't, quite - but I desperately need a nice, long stretch of everything going right. I don't think I could take something else going wrong right now!
Nifty news: my Monday night class uses laptops, and I have internet access IN class! We're on break right now. Another hour and a half to go, and I can go home for the night!
