Overview:
Indigo Hold is a well-established minor Hold that looks to Split Rock Hold. Talin is the second Holder of his line. The Hold has strong connections with the Weaver Hall and is largely self-sufficient.
Economics:
Indigo produces a variety of goods, but it is best known for the dyes it produces. Those dyes, along with cotton and flax fibers, are the Hold's main exports. The indigo dye the Hold produces is favored among weavers for its vibrant color and fade resistance. Indigo does produce a reddish lager in small batches for Hold consumption, as well as a redfruit liqueur. A stand of carefully cultivated forest provides fresh fruit for the Hold as well as lumber for furniture making. Indigo maintains a herd of animals to provide meat, hides, and wool for local use. Even the fat of the beasts is used to make tallow candles. The Hold’s only major imports are metal goods from the Smithcraft and finished cloth from the Weavercraft.

Location:
Southern base of the central mountin on Trevor Island
Hold Proper:
Indigo is situated in the fertile valley at the southern base of the central mountain on Trevor Island. While surrounded by forest on the east, south, and west, the holdfolk take care to nurture the trees, since much of Indigo's furnishings are crafted from them.
History:
Begun in turn 199 of the last Interval, Indigo didn't become an established Hold until turn 5 of the current pass. The intervening six turns were taken up by the painstaking construction of the Hold buildings. First opened by Holder Telar on 05.07.01, Indigo has since grown to include a dozen cotholds and a larger barn/stable for the animals it raises. Telar's son, Telic, took Hold in 20.03.10 after Telar's decease of a wasting disease. Telic, together with his spouse Miryn, has made the Hold more profitable by increasing the Hold's production of dyes and other raw materials used in cloth manufacture. After Telic’s death in turn 25 during the Wave, Telic's eldest son, Talin, was designated Holder.
Indigo has hosted one major annual gathering, initially begun to appease Telic’s desire to marry off his children and get grandchildren, and continued since his death because, well, it was tradition – and Talin’s in need of a wife.
05.07.01 – Indigo is confirmed as a minor Hold, looking to Moonset Hold
20.03.10 – Founding Holder Telar dies and his son, Telic, becomes Holder
28.06.27 – Earthshake at sea causes massive tsunami. Telic is killed while at the coast.
28.08.15 – Talin is confirmed as Holder for Indigo.
Future Plans:
Open negotiations with the Glass-Smith Hall regarding the use of the granular dyes produced by Indigo in producing colored glass.
