Just a reminder of the support requirements for ranking characters. They're not strenuous, so no excuses will be accepted! Well, okay, if it's a good excuse, we'll talk...!Level 1 Ranking CharactersTwo stories a year, preferably one each issue. Goldriders (this includes the Weyrwoman) Wingleaders (this includes the Weyrleader) Headwomen (Weyr and major holds) Stewards (Weyr and major holds) WeyrCrafters MasterCrafters (heads of the Craft Hall) HoldCrafters (hold equivalent of the WeyrCrafter) Lord Holders Lady Holders Level 2 Ranking Characters: One story a year Wingseconds Bronzeriders Masters Holders (head of the hold, not a general resident) ArtworkArtwork can substitute for a story, but the artwork must be a sizable, refined peice of art, not a quickie sketch done for filler work. One peice of acceptable illustration is the equivalent of one story. NPC Weyr CharactersRanking characters at the NPC Weyrs do not have to meet these support requirements. We welcome and encourage stories involving these characters...but do not insist on them. For now. (eg) Some support requirements have already been met. Others not even touched. So just a reminder not to forget about those stories!

Just a quick question regarding support reqs.
Are they cumulative? So if I manage to get 3 done in one zine and 0 the next (which may happen as it has a high likelihood of coming due when I _hope_ we'll be in the midst of a move) will that still see me covered?
And for artwork submissions to count towards reqs. how is it determined which req they are applied to?
thanks.

Erica--Yes, the support requirememnts are cumulative during any one year, but they do not carry over into the next year. So, if I, in an insane burst of activity, write five Aerden stories in one year, I still have to write my required two, the next year. The purpose of this is to keep the characters' lives moving forward.
For art--If you're illustrating a story that does not contain any of your own characters, I suspect the easiest thing to do would be to tell Anna which of your characters the art is meant to support.
Anna, Hope, any opinions or contradictions on this?

Nope, Chantal, I think you nailed it on the head. Erica, you can also check the Support Requirement Tracking log here to see which of your characters are still needing support. I try to keep it updated as stories are submitted. At present, it looks like you only have two ranking characters: K'leren and Amai. Their support requirements for the year were met in the first issue. K'leren had two stories: Moving On, and Doubting Wingleader. Amai had three: Difficult Transitions, Letter to Lu, and Under Her Thumb. Or am I missing some rankers from my list for you?

Hey Anna, Might want to open up that list if you're going to share the link here. I can't get in. Though I don't think I have any characters that "require" support, do I?

StarRise Requirement Tracking Sorry about that! I forgot that I hadn't published it! And no, Kitty - I don't believe you have any characters that require support. Would you like one or three, though?
