So, has anyone compiled all the great brain work that's been done with regards to the healer field for this version of Pern?
Me, I'm all about documentation. Maybe too much that way.
But I would LOVE a healer's handbook for writing more in tune with all of the great discussions/decisions that have been presented. So, what would it entail?
I love the idea of the handbook including much of what's been discussed (I don't know what's been decided) and to have it also include the percentages you've been batting around.
Cheers!

Katah--I like that idea--a handy reference book to keep it all in one place--or one file, as it were. I'll see what I can put together, and then I'll pass it on to Anna for the OOTB list.

That would be a great thing.... It would help to make sure we are consistant on healing and medical care.

So, lets take a stab and come up with a list of major categories/chapters that we want included. Poisons. Viruses. Infections. Equipment. Flora typically used. Maybe something on training. Maybe something on typical geographical differences. What they typically learn when. Obviously more headings are needed.

All--I will be starting work on this booklet in April, after my NATS audition.
Right now, making sure I know my aria backward and forward is the Big Thing consuming my mind.

I think we'll also have to remember that anything we write will remain a work in progress. New diseases and treatments come up regularly, older treatments fall out of use due to safety or efficacy issues.

That's true. Well, I can at least get the first edition of this out, and we'll see how long the information is good for. (g)
