I hate work that goes unused and I spent a lot of time updating this info for MoonSet. Please note: this is MoonSet specific. If we want something like this for StarRise, there's a LOT of work involved.

The following listing are the products and values of items from the various Halls and Holds - major/minor/cot. These are for the sake of Gather RP's to give us an idea of what we are bargaining for and purchasing.
Remember, though, that on Pern (much like in frontier days) a common laborer wouldn't see much, if any, cash money. Their "pay" would come in the form of shelter, food, and clothing. Perhaps every now and then a bit of a mark might come into their grasp, but more than likely they'd barter for things that they wanted rather than having marks.
Remember, most of the things that people ~need~ for day to day life aren't bought. They're gathered, grown, and homecrafted. Yes, some things need a professional to create (cooking pans, needles, and other metal equipment), but clothing and food are within the reach of the average housewife on a cothold. Or, they'll barter a bolt of homespun for a new cooking pot, a packet of needles, and some pretty ribbons at a modest holding. An even larger place will have contracted a craftsman for a season or a Turn to ply his/her trade for them.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ONE MARK IS THE APPROXIMATE EARTH EQUIVALENT OF $20.00.
