General appearance: A'carik isn't anything special to look at but his personality is what makes him shine. He's got medium brown hair, intelligent eyes and a somewhat pointy face. In his childhood he was often called "the rat" because of his (then) large ears, pointy features and general tenacity in getting his way and getting into things he shouldn't.

A'carik loves a good time. If there's a party, a gather or a bunch of people hanging out having fun--he wants to be there! Since impressing Cruneth and becoming a dragonrider he has come to the conclusion that he and Cruneth are as good as any brown or bronze out there--they just haven't got that much experience yet
He believes he is a ladies man, and is a definite skirt chaser. He isn't looking for any real or meaningful relationships with the fair sex--just a chance at a grope or more. Emotionally A'carik is immature. He's impatient and often wants quick (ie Immediate) results. He isn't the best fighter although he's good in a scrap and more than happy to fight dirty.
General history:
Born as one of seven children, (fifth) A'carik was always underfoot. As he grew older he found any variety of excuses that got him out of the hold and out in the fresh air. He is fascinated by travelers and traders and ran away from home once in a child's effort to join them.He was summarily returned to his family after which they kept him under closer supervision. He was eventually apprenticed as a beastcrafter as he has a knack with animals of all sorts. He was found on search and chose the chance at a more exciting life of a dragonrider (or failing that something in the weyr which had to be more interesting than Windspires hold).
He was gutted when he stood on the grounds for impression and failed to impress. He stayed at the weyr and the next time there was an impression he was successful and impressed blue Crunith.
